Ridge House, as its name implies is situated on high ground. Due to our location, guests do need to be able to negotiate steps.
Our suites are spacious and the deluxe suites have a sleeper couch for young children who share with their parents. Parents need to monitor young children as the luxury suites have a hot tub which does not have a child proof cover. Ridge House cannot accept responsibility for the safety of children. Our location on the ridge, means that there are steps and various level changes in the garden.
Children over 12 years of age should be accommodated in a separate suite at standard rates.
Ridge House is centrally situated in the hub of Hermanus. The restaurants, art galleries and cliff path are all a 10-minute walk, or a 1-minute drive away.
Should you wish to use our local Tuk-Tuk Taxi service, this can be easily arranged.
We are able to accommodate your special dietary requirements, provided we have had sufficient notice to ensure we have access to those ingredients that meet your special needs.
Please make sure you notify us, when booking, that you will be needing non-standard breakfasts, so that we can make sure we meet your expectations.
We have wonderful resources in Hermanus and are able to source healthy, appropriate ingredients. Should you want to cater for a special occasion, please let us know, and we will be delighted to help you plan your special celebration in advance.
Ridge House is able to offer our guests safe and reliable airport shuttles, in comfortable vehicles. We have a trusted relationship with the Tuk-tuk Taxi service. Their drivers are friendly, well trained with excellent driving skills. Their vehicles are well maintained and comfortable.
We are able to arrange daytrips, airport shuttles, as well as short local rides.
Payment may be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT) in advance.
All major credit cards are accepted.
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
Cancellations 14 days prior to check-in will be refunded 100%,
7-14 days prior to check-in will be refunded 50%.
Cancellation within 7 days of arrival will forfeit deposit.
